We wouldn’t be the church if it wasn’t for Jesus Christ and His death, burial, and resurrection
The Gift of Salvation
The church would not exist if it wasn’t for the free gift of salvation we have through Jesus. By putting our faith and trust in Jesus for the forgiveness of our sins, we are given this gift of eternal life. Because of this gift, we serve Jesus and follow His lead and His commands.
We seek to help others understand the full story of Scripture. It can be unpacked into the following 6 statements.
God created us to be with Him
Acknowledge that the Lord is God. He made us, and we are his.
-Psalm 100:3
Our sin separates us from God
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
-Romans 3:23
Sins cannot be removed by good deeds
All of us have become like something unclean, and all our righteous acts are like a polluted garment.
-Isaiah 64:6
Paying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again
But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
-Romans 5:8
Everyone who trusts in Him alone has eternal life
For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
-John 3:16
Life with Jesus starts now and lasts forever
This is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and the one you have sent —Jesus Christ.
-John 17:3

The Bible’s message is clear: we can’t save ourselves from our sin. The punishment is hell - eternal separation from our God. We are only saved and restored to a relationship with our God through faith alone in Christ alone.
